This report examines the key area of communicable disease law in the UK and its current appropriateness in a global context and with the advent of the threat of bioterrorism. Dr Monaghan tracks the development of English statute and highlights the problems that would be encountered in trying to take a UK-wide perspective because of the divergence of law and policy in the four countries, particularly with the development of devolution.
