The 2013 Summit provided an opportunity to hear and question the latest evidence and analysis on:
- The economy and health care reform: Examining the impact of weaknesses in the wider economies of countries across the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the impact on health care. We explored what international agencies like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and OECD are suggesting to countries on the shape of reform, and how countries are responding;
- Quality of care: Questioning how best to keep a focus on quality in a prolonged period of austerity and in a ‘post-Francis’ world;
- International innovation: Highlighting innovative practice among providers and commissioners – both from the UK and internationally.
